김지수 (b.1989)는 동국대학교 서양화과 학사를 졸업했다.
작가는 "평면과 공간"이라는 주제로 사실적인 기법을 통해 자신만의 사실주의를 확장하고 있다. 작가에게 공간은 현실재현의 매체로 작용하며 그 안에서 벌어지는 다양한 요소들을 사실적으로 그려내어 아름다운 이미지를 모색한다.
그림자와 빛이 그려내는 실체가 마치 수면 위로 점점 나타나는 작업의 과정은 작가에게 있어 모토이지만 완전한 현실이 될 수 없는 결론에 이르면서, 허무감보다는 현실과 환상의 공존을 따른다. 빛과 그림자의 변화를 재현의 공식으로 여기고 어느 하나라도 깨질 경우 공간이 성립되지 않기에 기계적인 과정을 따르지만, 작가는 이를 타파하기 위해 다양한 기호를 추가하여 기하학적이면서도 회화적인 비쥬얼 아트를 선보인다.

The artist expands their own realism through realistic techniques under the theme of "Flatness and Space." To the artist, space acts as a medium for the reproduction of reality, capturing various elements within it to portray beautiful images realistically.
The transformation of shadows and light, gradually emerging above the surface like magic, is a motif for the artist. However, it leads to a conclusion where complete reality is unattainable, embracing the coexistence of reality and fantasy rather than a sense of emptiness.
Considering the changes in light and shadow as formal elements of reproduction and following mechanical processes to establish space, the artist breaks through this by adding various symbols, presenting geometric and painterly visual art.
The changes in shadows and light within the artist's works create a magical fusion within the artwork, forging a space where reality and imagination meet. As the space deepens, moments of fear and awe intertwine, allowing us to experience the virtual space the artist pursues.
